Goal
Design a simple, joyful craft that strengthens fine motor control and colour recognition, while being easy for a teacher to prep well in advance.
Approach
Planned three days ahead: pre-cut paper strips, pre-punched plate holes, and pre-portioned glue and colour trays so classroom time focused on creating.
What I did

Outcome & skills demonstrated
All children completed a finished sun craft within the session with minimal teacher intervention; several were later displayed for the Weather theme. Demonstrated advance planning, fine motor instruction, colour recognition, calm one-on-one support and classroom material management.

Approach
Collected leaves, twigs and flower petals two days beforehand and laminated a simple “my nature collage” base card for reuse.
What I did
- Collected and dried natural materials
- Sorted leaves, petals, twigs and seeds
- Set simple sharing ground rules
- Encouraged children to describe collages
- Photographed finished pieces with permission
Outcome & skills demonstrated
The activity ran across three back-to-back groups because materials were pre-sorted; children showed high engagement and several asked to repeat it. Demonstrated independent ownership, sensory-learning design, resourcefulness and child-led communication.
A Week in Our Classroom
A planned parent-facing content series using Canva templates and AI-assisted drafting to create consistent school social content.

Approach
Planned the full content calendar in advance, mapped one activity per day to a theme, and batch-designed Canva templates so daily work was limited to photo and caption swaps.
